Lotte Strauss, neé Schloss, was born on August 2nd 1913 in Braunschweig, Germay. During World War II, between 1942 and 1943 she was in hiding in Berlin. In 1943, along with her future husband, herbert Strauss, she escaped to Switzerland, with the help of her uncle, Ludwig Shöneberg. In 1946 the Strauss family immigrated to the Unitetes States and settled in New York where Lotte Strauss held a position of a secratery at the New York State League of Women Voters. ...
